New Art Therapy Group in Bristol

Wednesday evenings 7-9pm from 1st February 2017, ending 5th April 2017
PACTS Studio, Mivart St Studios, Easton, BRISTOL, BS5 6JF

Art Therapy Group in Bristol aims to provide a safe, supportive and facilitated space to creatively explore issues and find out more about yourself. 10 sessions termly, Booking essential.

This new Art Therapy Group group runs on Wednesday evenings for 2 hours, from 7pm until 9pm.

A range of art materials will be provided.

Who can attend?

It is available to anyone aged 16 or over and suitable for anyone with mild to moderate mental health concerns, and/or anyone who could just do with a safe creative space to explore whatever issues that might be coming up for them, such as relationship difficulties, change, loss, etc., or who simply want to take some time to find out a bit more about themselves. No previous art experience or skill is necessary. We could have up to a maximum of 10 people in the group.

Who runs it?

We are two experienced art therapists who will be running the group and will continue termly as long as is viable, so that existing members can stay and new ones replace anyone who leaves.

Cost:

The cost of the group is between £20 and £40 per session on a self-assessed sliding scale. We will be asking people to commit to and pay for the whole 10 weeks before starting. However, we do not wish to exclude people who are on low incomes. We can discuss this with you further when we meet.

How do I join?

We will be inviting you and other people who are interested in attending, to meet with us individually at the venue on a Wednesday evening before the group starts, for 25 minutes, to explain more, discuss expectations and to answer any other questions you may have. Between us we can ascertain if this group is right for you at this time. This is a prerequisite for joining the group and is non chargeable. We can discuss costs and affordability then. Please contact us for an informal chat to talk more and/or arrange a meeting.
