They are also thrilled to announce the keynote speakers for this invaluable 1 day event, which will offer an inspirational experience and an opportunity for anyone involved in the helping professions to refresh and update their skills and practice with innovative ways of working. They are:

Dr Margot Sunderland:

Dr. Sunderland, who is Director of Education and Training at The Centre for Child Mental Health London, lectures all over the world on the psychology and neuroscience of child and teenage mental health. She offers practical strategies and interventions, always underpinned by the latest research and makes TV and radio appearances as a child and parenting expert.

Dr Sunderland will deliver a lecture and seminar on 'Creative Interventions for Troubled Children and Teenagers'.

Karen Huckvale:

Karen Huckvale is co-director of independent Arts & Health training provider, Insider Art, Chair of The Self Heal Association (Reg. Charity) and was a founding trustee of Arts & Health South West (Reg. Charity). Her clinical work focuses on significant attachment and personality difficulties resulting from abuse and / or trauma and she provides local authority and private art psychotherapy for adults and adolescents. Whilst broadly Jungian in outlook, Karen has incorporated Morita approaches into her art psychotherapy practice since 2000. She presented to the 9th International Congress Morita Therapy: Sustainable Psychotherapies for the 21st Century at the University of Exeter Medical School in 2016.

Karen will deliver a lecture and workshop on 'Holding Patterns: using images to gently explore challenging life experiences'.
