Dance 4 Your Life London based dance conservatoire, Laban, and the North Kent Local Authorities Partnership findings of their participatory research project dance 4 your life, examining the physical and psychological impact of dance on 14 year old girls, to include a significant improvement in levels of self esteem. Other results from the study, which took place in five schools in North Kent, included an increase in physical health and motivational levels.

The Go Dance Research project was commissioned by a consortium of dance organisations and providers throughout the Eastern region of England and the Department of Health in 2012. It examined the impacts of dance on physiological health and psychological wellbeing on young people in Year 6, as they near the transition from primary into secondary education. Some interesting findings presented themselves which point to the increasing tide of evidence of dance as a viable, sustainable and vital contributor to enhancing and maintaining the physiological health and psychological wellbeing of young people.

Dance Active Evaluation This report seeks to evaluate a pilot programme, Dance Active, developed and delivered by DanceXchange in partnership with Youth Dance England and PAN West Midlands on behalf of The Department of Health. Dance Active was more than a training course. It had a strong element of advocacy and was targeted at raising the levels of engagement and understanding between health professionals and dance artists.
