GPs' Network

This is a Special Interest Group for GPs who are interested in arts, health and wellbeing. GPs from across the South West region come together to discuss how the arts can contribute to health and wellbeing outcomes. If you would like to be part of this group please contact Alex Coulter on alex@ahsw.org.uk

Dr Malcolm Rigler, a GP in North Somerset, is particularly interested in health education and involving libraries and new technologies in empowering patients to better understand and manage their own conditions. If you would like to know more, Malcolm can be contacted on m.rigler@nhs.net.

Recently we met to talk about arts on prescription, hear about examples from GPs in Bristol and Gloucestershire, and plan for development of the work across the whole region. If you are interested in finding out more about arts on prescription, Dr Simon Opher, a GP in Gloucestershire, would be happy to hear from you. His email is Simon.Opher@glos-care.nhs.uk.

On the right you find links to further information about arts, health and wellbeing work with GPs.
