WATCH: Personalised Approaches to Art in Health & Mental Health

Short films made about arts in health work in Gloucestershire, where there are a range of integrated personalised care approaches being adopted, that have elements of arts for health and well-being as an integral part.

See the videos via YouTube below:

Personalised Approaches to Art in Health: Re Connect Peer Support in Stroud are running a weekly nature based art group pilot for stroke survivors, people with dementia and carers to explore their creative side. It is very casual not an "Art Lesson" and people get as much support as they want. It is Aphasia friendly - we use communication charts so people can tell us what they need.

Personalised Approaches to Mental Health: Support at The Cavern started in 2016, it is very different from other crisis café models, in that it is led by community support staff rather than mental health professionals, and its very much encouraging peer support as opposed to a more structured, staff led intervention. They have over 680 people registered to the service, and 60 people a night attending. This service is changing lives dramatically.
