Working creatively with older people explores the benefits of creativity for older people and those living with dementia. You will learn how to tailor your practice so it is accessible and engaging, get advice about working in care settings and have a brief introduction to dementia awareness. 25th June 2019

Date: Tue, 25 June 2019 09:30 – 16:30

Venue: 2nd Floor Meeting Room, The Old Post Office, The Moor, Falmouth, TR11 3QA

Arts Well: Grow is a programme of development for people interested in arts, health and wellbeing. The sessions will be delivered by Jayne Howard, Director of Arts Well CIC. Jayne has many years experience of arts and health and was the recipient of the Arts and Health South West Individual Contribution award 2016 for her significant contribution to the arts and health field.

Groups will run with a minimum of 5 participants and a maximum of 12, allowing for plenty of discussion and individual tailoring. Practical exercises, group discussions and case studies will be used with the emphasis on enabling you to put your learning into practice.

Come along to all sessions if you want a comprehensive guide to delivering arts and health work, or just choose sessions that are of particular interest to you.

Light refreshments are included (tea, coffee, cold drinks, biscuits, fruit) but not lunch.
